Municipality of Amaroussion recently participated at the 2023 WHO European Healthy Cities Annual Business Meeting and Technical Conference, taking place from November 21st to 23rd in Utrecht, Netherlands. Dr. Maria Kotzagianni and Mr. Anargyros Roussos delivered an oral presentation entitled “Empowering Communities For Healthier Environments: SOCIO-BEE Project’s Innovative Approach To Air Pollution Monitoring Through Citizen Engagement”.
During the presentation, Dr Kotzagianni outlined the multifaceted aspects of the SOCIO-BEE project, encompassing innovative citizen engagement strategies and cutting-edge technological solutions. Moreover, Dr Kotzagianni seized the opportunity to shed light on Municipality of Amaroussion’s proenvironmental agenda, advocating for its inclusion in the European network of healthy cities. The municipality’s participation as pilot city for SOCIO-BEE project underscores its dedication to addressing severe public health challenges.
