Embarking on our mission to inform and engage citizens in air quality measurements in Maroussi, the pre-pilot activities, including Pilot Planning and Alpha Testing from February 15th to June 3rd, 2023, marked a crucial milestone in our journey.
During the Pilot Planning phase, our MRSI team meticulously planned and prepared for the upcoming pilot activities. We developed engagement strategies, conducted preliminary citizen outreach, and curated essential communication and training materials to ensure the smooth execution of the pilot. As we entered into the Alpha Testing Phase, a group of 10 alpha testers, comprising employees the Municipality of Amaroussion, evaluated our SOCIO-BEE technological tools. These testers, acting as both of Queen Bees and Worker Bees, provided valuable feedback on the usability, functionality, and user experience of our mobile app, web platform (AcadeMe), Air Quality sensor (WSN) as well as their interconnection capabilities. Their insights and observations were reported directly to the technical partners and have been instrumental in refining our tools and preparing them for wider usage in the upcoming phases of the project.
